Day 01 – Marrakech / Dades Gorges

After breakfast, departure from Marrakech at a scheduled time. The magnificent High Atlas Mountains rise imposingly on the way out of the city. The journey through them is impressive and overwhelming. This mountain range leads you up and down winding roads, allowing glimpses of rocks, shrubs, rivers, waterfalls, small villages, and their inhabitants.

Continue the journey along the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs, passing through the Skoura palm grove. Arrival at the Dades Gorges for dinner and overnight in a mountain Dar (traditional Moroccan house).

In the morning, after breakfast, take a tour through the Dades Gorges, showcasing the greenery and the movement of family agriculture. The presence of the river running between the mountains is a sign of life and resilience.

Continue the journey to the majestic Todra Gorges, with a suggestion for lunch and time to relax to the sound of the crystal-clear mountain water.

Begin the desert road, gradually entering the spirit of the Sahara. At the end of the road, the grand Deserto do Sara and its Erg Chebbi dunes await.

The camels (dromedaries) patiently wait to carry guests into the heart of the dunes, where traditional Berber tents welcome visitors. Dinner is served by candlelight. Overnight in tents specially prepared for tourism.

For the adventurous, there’s an invitation to witness the spectacular sunrise from the top of the highest dune. The view of the desert’s vastness can stir up new and moving sensations.

Breakfast at the camp and return by camel to the 4×4 vehicles.

Departure across the southern road. The rugged and simple landscape, filled with rocks, leads to Alnif, then to the Draa Valley—a magnificent palm-lined landscape that forms the largest oasis in North Africa. Off-road trail to cross the mountain toward Tamnougalt, where lunch is proposed in an ancient Kasbah.

Continue the journey to Ouarzazate, known as the “Moroccan Hollywood,” a famous filming location. Dinner and overnight in a Riad.

Breakfast at the Riad and departure toward Marrakech, a city so rich it has earned many names: “Red City,” “Pearl of the South.” As the tourist capital, it welcomes visitors with a colorful smile. The next stop is Ait Ben Haddou. A guided visit to this ancient Ksar (fortified village), a famous set for international films, will take you on a journey back to the times of warriors and artisans. Suggested lunch in a local restaurant. Then continue to Marrakech, crossing the High Atlas Mountains. Arrival in the late afternoon.
